CDCP
The Canadian Dental Care Plan, explained
We believe everyone should have access to dental care — so we accept patients who are eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).
Quick answer
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) helps eligible Canadians afford dental care. You may qualify if you’re a Canadian resident without private dental insurance, have an adjusted family net income under $90,000, and have filed your latest tax return. Innisfil Dental Smile Solutions accepts CDCP-eligible patients — so you don’t have to worry about affording care.
The CDCP is a program designed to make dental care more affordable for all eligible Canadians. At Innisfil Dental Smile Solutions, we accept CDCP-eligible patients so you don’t have to worry about being able to afford dental care. For full details on eligibility and how to apply, visit the official Government of Canada CDCP page.
Who is eligible for the CDCP?
You may be eligible if you:
- Are a Canadian resident
- Do not have private or employer dental insurance
- Have an adjusted family net income under $90,000
- Have filed your most recent tax return
What does the CDCP cover?
The CDCP covers many basic and essential dental services, including:
- Exams, cleanings, and X-rays
- Fillings and root canal treatment
- Periodontal (gum) care
- Extractions and some denture services
Coverage is subject to plan rules, limits, and frequency guidelines, and not all procedures are covered.
How much will I pay? Coverage by income
Coverage depends on your adjusted family net household income:
Percentages reflect coverage of eligible services at CDCP rates. You may also be responsible for any difference between the CDCP fee and your dentist’s standard fee — we’ll always discuss this with you before treatment so there are no surprises.
How do I apply?
Applications are completed online through the Government of Canada. Dental clinics cannot apply on your behalf or determine eligibility. Once you’re approved, simply let us know and we’ll welcome you as a CDCP patient.
